In this seminar, we will explore the echoes of C.G. Jung in the structures of consciousness and emerging arational-integral consciousness of Jean Gebser, a contemporary and friend of Jung\u2019s, and scholar of the evolution of consciousness.\u00a0 To introduce and experience the lived philosophy of Gebser, we will delve into the dynamics of awareness by focusing on each of the \u201chistoric\u201d structures of consciousness presented in Gebser\u2019s\u00a0magnum opus<\/em>,\u00a0The Ever-Present Origin<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Emphasis will be placed on direct experience of Gebser\u2019s structures of consciousness as the foundation for the emergence Gebser\u2019s formulation of integral consciousness. The course will introduce Gebser\u2019s contributions and genius and consider how Gebser synchronizes, diverts, and at times takes different paths than Jung in exploring consciousness and transformation.\u00a0 To better comprehend the possibilities of Gebserian thought, weekly exercises will allow direct experience of the images and presence of Gebser\u2019s structures of consciousness and understanding of time.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
