Myth is a way of explaining the world and man.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

All cultures and civilizations have their myths that speak of the structuring of the universe, the formation of society, and tell how the world was created, men were forged, virtues appeared, evils and sins occurred.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Myth can be understood as an expression of the universe of the collective unconscious.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is an immense collection of images that translate possibilities of expression of the psyche.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s begin a journey through the universe of Greek Mythology, with an emphasis on the symbolic reading of myths and their characters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Continuing the introduction to the study of Greek mythology, in this second semester we will talk about heroes.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Maria Zelia de Alvarenga: the Hero always translates times of conquests (concrete or subjective; components of objective, rational reality or symbolic reality).<\/span><\/p>\n

The heroic deed portrays the universal movement in search of the new, the different.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hero is the unique moment in which the Self gives birth to itself as a newly born creature, with what is known as human, acquiring self-awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n

When one seeks oneself, one discovers oneself as a creature created from the marriage of the human Earth with the celestial Divine.<\/span><\/p>\n
