{"id":27550,"date":"2021-10-22T09:21:59","date_gmt":"2021-10-22T08:21:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/?post_type=courses&#038;p=27550"},"modified":"2022-01-05T09:11:34","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T09:11:34","slug":"loss-of-a-twin-a-young-boys-encounter-with-death-and-dying","status":"publish","type":"courses","link":"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/courses\/loss-of-a-twin-a-young-boys-encounter-with-death-and-dying\/","title":{"rendered":"Loss of a Twin:  A Young Boy\u2019s   Encounter with Death and Dying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">This workshop <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">explores the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">sa<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ndplay therapy process of<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">a six<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">year<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">old boy with <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">acting out behavior in the home while his twin <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">brother <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">received<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">medical <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">care <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">for <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">recurrent leukemia. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">His process <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">be<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">gins<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">when<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">his brother <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">wa<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">s <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">undergoing<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">a bone <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">marrow transpl<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ant<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">,<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and goes on t<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">o illustrate a deep journey of<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">grief, loss<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">fear<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">trans<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">f<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ormation<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">as this boy<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">courageously prepares for his brother\u2019s certain death. <\/span>T<span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">he <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">intens <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">love for his brother is <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">profoundly <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">felt in his <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">sand pictures<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">, along with <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">a <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">powerful <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">co<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">tr<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ansference with the therapist. M<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">any of <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the sand<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">trays <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">contain images <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">from Egyptian mythology.<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">three<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">trays that<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">his twin brother completed will also <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">be presented.<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In his <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">sand trays<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">, t<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">his dying boy shows the need for his mot<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">her to <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">realize that he is dying<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8212;<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the unspoken word in the home.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This workshop explores the sandplay therapy process of a six&#8211;year&#8211;old boy with acting out behavior in the home while his twin brother received medical care for recurrent leukemia.
