This 9-month reading\/discussion course provides over a dozen readings from a wide array of individuals\u2013Blacks, women, emigrants, whistleblowers, \u201cblue state\u201d liberals, \u201cred state\u201d conservatives, sociologists, historians and journalists\u2013that paint portraits of lives very different from our own. In our first session we consider what \u201cempathy\u201d means, and how it has become the subject of scientific study in recent years. Each session thereafter takes up a different perspective or experience likely to be unfamiliar to us<\/p>\n<p>A link for the Zoom sessions will be sent to all registrants via email.
