This workshop considers medical and psychoanalytic viewpoints on depressive disorders, with particular attention to psychopharmacalogical intervention and analytic therapy. It also examines the history and physiology of depression, diagnostic procedures from psychiatric and psychoanalytic perspectives, and analytic techniques for working with the dreams of depressed patients.
