On Friday January 22, 2010 the Asheville Jung Center hosted a live seminar with Dr. Murray Stein, one of the world\u2019s foremost Jungian Analysts out of Zurich, Switzerland. This 3 hour teaching seminar<\/strong> explored some of the deep mysteries of Carl Jung\u2019s then recently released Red Book.<\/p>\n

One of the most carefully guarded Jungian tomes, the Red Book, contains the record of Jung\u2019s most personal journey<\/strong>, a journey that brought him to the confluence of brilliance and insanity. With painstaking detail, numerous paintings, images, dialogues and reflections were recorded, revealing his rich archetypal world. It holds the inspiration for much of his pioneering theories and clinical techniques. CG Jung\u2019s artistic masterpiece reveals an active imagination process similar to some modern Jungian journaling activities, such as The Artist\u2019s Way. Analytical Psychology has long hoped to be able to view this profound text. The Red Book had been locked away for almost one hundred years because of its revealing and raw exposure of Jung\u2019s soul. Decades of negotiations with Jung\u2019s heirs led to its release.
