Gaia: Then and Now is a series of ARAS webinars that focus on our relationship to the Earth, as revealed through the study of ancient and contemporary symbolic imagery as it appears in myth, the visual arts, dance, and dramatic story telling. New Religion: Mythologies of a Changed Planet<\/strong><\/p>\n Throughout time, people have created mythologies based upon the climate and animals around them. It can be a way to find our place in the world and how we are connected to nature. As an artist, George Boorujy has made work exploring the symbolism of animals, how people fit into their environments as a species, the Sixth Extinction, and the Columbian Exchange.
