Michael Monhart (M.A., S.T.M., LP) is a
\npsychoanalyst in private practice in the Hudson
\nValley in New York State and is a faculty member
\nat the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association and
\nthe Blanton-Peale Institute. For decades, he has
\nimmersed himself in contemplative practices of
\nCistercian monasticism, Japanese Shingon
\nBuddhism, and most extensively, Tibetan
\nBuddhism. He is the author of \u201cInto the Frog
\nSwamp: Jungian Conceptions of the
\nUnconscious in Practice\u201d in The Unconscious
\nRefractions: Contemporary Psychoanalysis
\nStruggles with Its Source Object published in
\n2020 by Routledge. He has presented \u201cThe Path
\nof Individuation in Shingon Buddhism\u201d at the
\n2016 Congress of the International Association
\nfor Analytical Psychology and \u201cMany Selves,
\nMany Others\u201d at the 2019 Congress of the IAAP.
\nHe is a Tibetan translator and is the co-editor
\nand translator of Enticements (SUNY 2018), the
\nshort stories of the Tibetan author Pema
