Jung and<\/em><\/strong><\/a> Star Wars: A Contemporary Mythology<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by S.G. Ellerhoff<\/p>\n

analyses the Star Wars phenomenon from the perspective of analytical psychology as a living mythology in our time. It examines the rich characters and history of the saga, including the concept of the Force, and much more.<\/p>\n

Though mythologist Joseph Campbell praised Star Wars<\/em>, he died before he could commit a proper study to it. That gap in scholarship led Steve to write this book over the past ten years.<\/p>\n

So many of Jung’s ideas about the psyche shed light on the world\u2019s favourite space opera. In the exploits of iconic characters like Han Solo, Anakin and Padm\u00e9, and Rey Skywalker, we find archetypal images<\/strong> expressed across a range of media.<\/p>\n

Taking a Jungian approach, we will explore the psychological dynamics at play in this profoundly popular mythology<\/strong>.
