Jung\u2019s Transformation of the God Image"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWe are born at a given moment in a given place and like vintage years of wine we have the qualities of the year and the season in which we are born.\u201d &nbsp;\u2014<strong>C.G. Jung<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The inner loss from Jung\u2019s break with Freud matched the outer loss he experienced by the events occurring in Europe.&nbsp; It was a time when Jung thought that he was breaking down into a psychosis.&nbsp; However, this time period opened Jung up to a whole new experience which has been described in The Red Book.&nbsp; He found his soul from the Spirit of the Depths and not from the components of the Spirit of the Times which he could not sanction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During Jung\u2019s encounters in the depths, he experienced GOD coming down into mortality, which included the darkness of below as well as the light of above.&nbsp; This turning point fueled Jung\u2019s future life and work.&nbsp; In The Red Book we see how Jung met the God that climbed into mortality which then transformed the God image.&nbsp; The shift gave humanity a part in creating meaning with God who mediated \u201cThe Way.\u201d&nbsp; Jung discovered the significance of following your own way.&nbsp; This new way consists of individually entering into the depths.&nbsp; In the depths one brings forth the unconscious into consciousness through images and symbols which are manifestations of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this workshop we will learn the origin and history of Jung\u2019s experiences and will discuss the birth of Jung\u2019s new God Image.&nbsp; We will apply Jung\u2019s new \u201cWay\u201d to compare our childhood images of God to our current image, creatively.&nbsp; Client images of God present in dreams and reflection will also be shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Please bring drawing materials to the workshop.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LEARNING OBJECTIVES:<\/strong><br><em>The participants will be able to:<\/em><br>1. Identify transformed images of God in clinical dream examples.<br>2. Describe the history of Jung\u2019s experiences and findings and the impact on his theoretical and clinical work.<br>3. Discuss the importance of the feminine within the transformed God image.<br>4.
