Thi<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">s openness allows us to explore and examine phenomena such as Marian <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">apparitions.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page3R_mcid13\" class=\"markedContent\"> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In my analysis of the Marian apparitions of Zeitoun that took place from 1968 to <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">1970, I offer an interdisciplinary methodological approach to investigate visions of the Virg<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">in <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Mary stemming widely from the works of Jung and relies on theories of the psyche proposed by <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Jung and post<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Jungians. Specifically,<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">I draw on Jung\u2019s theoretical model in<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Flying <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Saucers<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">which offers a structure to analyze numinous objects as constellated<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">material which <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">emerges out of the collective unconscious. Studies of Marian phenomenology show that the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">appearances are usually accompanied by a concatenation of events such as social upheaval, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">economic crisis, and war.
