{"id":96718,"date":"2023-01-20T16:09:16","date_gmt":"2023-01-20T16:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=96718"},"modified":"2023-01-20T16:09:16","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T16:09:16","slug":"dog-story","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/jungian-events\/dog-story\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Dog Story&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Ressentiment in Aboriginal Mythology<br \/>\nJung and the Alice Spring\u2019s Dog Story in Conversation with Girard and Nietzsche:<br \/>\na theoretical appraisal of the psycho-social dynamics of violence.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The lecture is inspired by the three-way conversation in 2000 concerning the Dog Story which led Craig San Roque, a Jungian psychologist to write down his reflections and collect them into a cartoon book, The Long Weekend in Alice Springs.<\/p>\n<p>Nikolai explores how Friedrich Nietzsche\u2019s insights (1848-1900) into the psychopathology of ressentiment, Ren\u00e9 Girard\u2019s mimetic and scapegoat theory (MT) and Carl Jung\u2019s idea of cultural complexes (1875-1961) shed light on the dynamics of the recurring cycle of violence which have afflicted the human psyche since homo sapiens emerged from its previous proto-human beginnings.<\/p>\n<p>This psychopathology will be discovered to be repetitive, autonomous and stubbornly resistant to consciousness.
