Jung Institute Z\u00fcrich, and the following year became a doctoral candidate in the Department of Psychosocial &#038; Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex in England. He graduated from the Jung Institute in 2020 with a Diploma in Analytical Psychology (the degree of a Jungian analyst), and received his Ph.D. in 2023 with the thesis, \u201cAbsolute Freedom: The \u2018I+I\u2019 (Individuation + Individualization) as a Metanarrative of Self-Development in a Second-Late-Modern Society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since 2017, Dr. Carpani has been engaging in various initiatives related to the development of contemporary analytical psychology in the hope they will continue to help Jung\u2019s psychology become visible and audible for individuals and collectives who benefit, respectively, from Jungian therapy and our knowledge in shaping policy and society. These initiatives include the YouTube series, Breakfast at K\u00fcsnacht, Lockdown Therapy, and War as Reset; Psychosocial Wednesdays, a digital salon modeled on Freud\u2019s Wednesday meetings in Vienna and Jung\u2019s meetings at the Psychology Club in Z\u00fcrich; Reaching Out to the Wounds of Health Professionals, providing free psychological support to frontline health workers in Italy; The Next Generation, encouraging the ideas, projects, and initiatives of the under-40 on the post-COVID-19 \u201cnew\u201d Italy, Therapist for Ukraine, making psychological counselling and support available for individuals affected by the crisis; and the Analysis and Activism group, aiming to foster engagement with Jungian theory and activism.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Carpani is also the originator and curator of Jungianeum, a new series of initiatives connecting analytical psychology with the socio-cultural challenges of this century. They include the book series Re-Covered Classics in Analytical Psychology, and Neo-Jungian Studies; Psychosocial Wednesdays; an annual yearbook; the Pacifica Graduate Institute\u2019s certificate in Contemporary Analytical Psychology &#038; Neo-Jungian Studies; the interview series Cultivating the Soul in the Supersociety for the Italian website doppiozero.it; and the online conference, JUNGIANEUM\/Biennale, the first of which will take place May 24-25, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, a new book series by Dr. Carpani is now underway.
