Jung Society Seattle<\/em>\u00a0examines gun violence through a depth psychological lens. Tomorrow, the\u00a0<em>C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles<\/em>\u00a0explores serpent imagery as a symbolic pattern in dreams and the analytic process. Tuesday Susan E. Schwartz joins the\u00a0<em>Southern African Association of Jungian Analysts<\/em>\u00a0to explore the myth of Narcissus and Echo in contemporary culture. And Wednesday,\u00a0<em>Jung Archademy<\/em>\u00a0turns to the emergence of feminine sovereignty in the perimenopausal and menopausal years.<\/p>\n<p>This week we feature two forthcoming titles:<span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/books\/andean-shamanism-in-psychotherapy-and-psychoanalysis-the-application-of-the-incan-codes-in-clinical-practice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>\u00a0Andean Shamanism in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis<\/em><\/a><\/span>\u00a0 will be published this week by Routledge.\u00a0<span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/books\/the-wisdom-of-dreams-the-significance-of-inner-images-in-evolutionary-psychology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Wisdom of Dreams<\/em><\/a><\/span>\u00a0 is also newly available from Chiron Publications.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of May, the\u00a0<em>London Arts-Based Research Centre<\/em>\u00a0brings together storytellers, artists, scholars, and psychologists at Oxford for a transdisciplinary exploration of archetypes and narrative. In June, the\u00a0<em>Society of Analytical Psychology<\/em>\u00a0marks the 80th anniversary of its founding with a tribute to Dr Michael Fordham.<\/p>\n<p>Two courses are open for enrolment. Starting in May, the\u00a0<em>C.G. Jung Foundation for Analytical Psychology<\/em>\u00a0offers an introduction to Jungian work with children. From July,\u00a0<em>Jung Archademy<\/em>\u00a0traces the many archetypal lives of Mary Magdalene across scripture, legend, art, and modern spiritual imagination \u2014 with an early-bird sale now on.<\/p>\n<p>Scroll to the bottom to see\u00a0this week&#8217;s YouTube selection. First, current and past presidents of ISAPZURICH reflect on what it means to train Jungian analysts in a contemporary international context. Next, Erica Lorentz demonstrates how embodied active imagination allows us to retrieve the body from the shadow.
