‘Can Depth Psychology Meet the World? A Round Table on Jungian studies, Politics, and Turbulent Times

\nIn an era of political upheaval, cultural fracture, and collective anxiety, what does depth psychology have to offer, and what does it still need to learn? This online round table brings together six Jungian analysts and thinkers from across the world to explore the intersection of depth psychology and the contemporary political moment.
\nEach participant brings to the conversation a sustained engagement with the political dimensions of psychological life. They come from different countries and different traditions within analytical psychology, and offer different points of entry into the question. They all share a refusal to treat the inner life as separate from the world that shapes it, and a conviction that depth psychology has something genuine to contribute to how we understand and navigate these turbulent times.
\nModerated by Ipek Burnett, the format is deliberately open. Rather than a series of presentations, this is meant as a conversation, which aims to follow its own logic, move where it needs to move, and make room for surprise and the unexpected. The participants come prepared to think together, not to conclude. Atendees are invited not just to observe but to be genuinely present to a dialogue that takes both depth psychology and the political moment seriously. The intention is to explore together the intersections of Jungian studies and the political dimension of human experience.<\/p>\n
Tine Papi\u010d is a Slovenian Jungian training analyst and supervisor accredited by the IAAP. He studied computer science and philosophy at the University of Ljubljana, psychotherapy science at Sigmund Freud University Vienna, and data science at the University of Oxford. A former President of the Slovenian Association for Analytical Psychology, he co-founded the analytical psychology study programme and lectures at Sigmund Freud University Ljubljana. He maintains a private practice at the Open Institute for Psychotherapy, lectures internationally, and has co-authored several books. He is currently undertaking further training in Systems Psychodynamics at the Tavistock Institute. Alongside his clinical and academic work, he also works as an AI consultant for a major European corporation.’.
