‘Dr. Jeremy Ry\u014dkan Woodcock is a psychotherapist, author, Zen Buddhist priest and teacher with the StoneWater Zen Sangha in the United Kingdom. His work brings psychotherapy and Buddhist practice into a sustained dialogue, with particular attention to trauma, attachment, the nature of self, and what he calls \u201cdeep subjectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeremy is the author of\u00a0“Families and Individuals Living with Trauma: A Guide for Therapists, Relatives, and Friends”\u00a0and, most recently,\u00a0“Finding Ourselves in Deep Waters: Buddhism, Psychotherapy and the Contemporary World.” His new book weaves together clinical experience, personal stories, poetry, koans, Buddhism, and neuroscience to explore the fluid nature of self and the challenges of living fully in our contemporary world. It takes up questions that are increasingly urgent: intimacy in the age of AI and social media, societal violence and polarization, inequality, and the climate crisis\u2014inviting us to encounter these not simply as problems \u201cout there,\u201d but as the living koans of our everyday lives.<\/p>\n
