It’s the weekend and welcome back to the\u00a0Jungian.Directory<\/a>\u00a0newsletter, where we bring you\u00a0the latest events, books, courses, conferences and videos from around the Jungian world. Sit back, relax,\u00a0and please enjoy what this week has to offer.<\/p>\n

This week’s event lineup includes topics\u00a0from myth and depth psychology to shadow work and the sage archetype. Tonight,\u00a0Thiasos<\/em>\u00a0explores Michael Vannoy Adams’ work on the mythological unconscious. Tomorrow, the\u00a0Cambridge Jungian Circle<\/em>\u00a0turns to an Indian myth of descent as a counterpoint to the Persephone narrative, and the\u00a0C.G. Jung Study Center of Southern California<\/em>\u00a0examines anaclitic depression. On Sunday, the\u00a0Jung Society of Washington<\/em>\u00a0looks at the Wise Old Sage and the shadow.<\/p>\n

We feature two books this week. L.W. Morris’s\u00a0Extraversion and Introversion<\/em><\/a><\/span>, and\u00a0Rorschach’s Test: Scoring and Interpretation<\/em><\/a><\/span>, will both be published on the 1st of September.<\/p>\n

Two conferences are upcoming: the\u00a0Eranos Foundation<\/em>‘s “Eclipse of the D\u00e8mos and Betrayals of Democracy” takes place at Casa Eranos next month, and the X Latin American Congress of Jungian Psychology returns in 2027 with early bird registration closing September 10.<\/p>\n

We also feature two courses.\u00a0The Assisi Institute\u00a0<\/em>opens their course on the wisdom of von Franz and the mythological journeys of heroes and heroines at the end of September.\u00a0And Pacifica Graduate Institute<\/em>\u00a0offers a course on Unstorying, a shadow work practice through a Jungian, nondual lens, starting in November.<\/p>\n

At the end of this email you will find a\u00a0selection of YouTube videos,\u00a0\u00a0all carrying the theme of the body and the unconscious.\u00a0The first is Erica Lorentz on the body as shadow.
