This week’s events move between myth, mystery, and modern anxieties. Tonight, the New Mexico Society of Jungian Analysts<\/em> turns to the ancient Greek mystery rites and their bearing on individuation. Tomorrow, the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles<\/em> hosts Andrew Samuels on his “Agenda 2050” for analytical psychology, tracing the field’s generational waves from Jung’s own circle through to today’s neo-Jungians. On Sunday, ARAS continues its series on the tension of opposites with Kikan Massara. Monday brings Jung After Work<\/em>‘s session on Jung and artificial intelligence, hosted with Bert Young, and Thursday closes the week with the British Psychotherapy Foundation<\/em>‘s talk pairing Argentine tango with the practice of analysis.<\/p>\n

We feature two books. Rubin and Van Den Berg’s fourth edition of Approaches to Art Therapy<\/em><\/a><\/span>\u00a0releases in March, updated with new chapters. And Qwarnstr\u00f6m’s The Tyranny of Type in Shakespeare and Jung<\/em><\/a><\/span>\u00a0is now available for pre-order, reading Shakespeare’s tragic protagonists through Jung’s concept of the inferior function. Both are forthcoming from Routledge.<\/p>\n

We remind you of two conferences on the horizon: the Taiwan Society of Analytical Psychology<\/em>‘s International Conference on Jungian Psychology takes place in Taipei this December, and the 10th Latin American Congress of Jungian Psychology gathers in Foz do Igua\u00e7u, Brazil, in September 2027.<\/p>\n

We also feature two courses. The Assisi Institute<\/em> opens a new course on the wisdom of von Franz and the archetypal dynamics of fairy tales later this month. And Jung Platform<\/em>‘s “Men, Women, and the Wound Beneath” traces a mythological path toward Jung’s sacred marriage, starting in October.<\/p>\n
