Today, <em>Oregon Friends of C.G. Jung<\/em> looks at <strong>American cultural complexes<\/strong> and the splintered American psyche. Wednesday, <em>Jung Platform<\/em> follows last week\u2019s conversation about <strong>a new book on transformation<\/strong> with a further session on its themes: nature, the human psyche and the roots of imagination.\u00a0Thursday <em>BPF<\/em>\u2019s <strong>Jung Forum<\/strong> presents a paper first given at the 2025 IAAP Congress in Zurich, drawing on 45 years of clinical practice to ask how we understand healing itself.<\/p>\n<p>We feature two books, both of which will be published by <strong>Routledge<\/strong> next year. Ann Addison\u2019s<em> <span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/books\/reading-carl-jung-and-wilfred-bion-towards-a-critical-dialogue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reading Carl Jung and Wilfred Bion<\/a><\/span><\/em>\u00a0examines the possible resonances between the two thinkers. And Alexander von Gontard\u2019s <em><span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/books\/sandplay-therapy-and-buddhism-insights-and-practical-applications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sandplay <\/a><\/span><span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/books\/sandplay-therapy-and-buddhism-insights-and-practical-applications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Therapy and Buddhism<\/a><\/span><\/em>\u00a0explores the Buddhist roots of Sandplay Therapy and their influence on its founder, Dora Kalff.<\/p>\n<p>We remind you of two conferences on the calendar for 2027. The<em> JAP<\/em>\u2019s international conference takes place in person in Split, Croatia, from 14 to 17 October 2027, on the space between analyst and analysand and the limits and possibilities of the analytic vessel. And the XXIV International Congress for Analytical Psychology will be held in Rome, Italy, from 27 August to 1 September 2027, with its<strong> call for papers deadline on 16 November 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We also feature two online courses.<em> The Assisi Institute<\/em>\u2019s four-week international seminar on the <strong>archetypal meaning<\/strong> of fairy tales begins on 30 October 2026. And the<em> C.G. Jung Foundation for Analytical Psychology<\/em>\u2019s five-week course on archetypes of descent and ascent in the <strong>second half of life<\/strong> begins on 9 November 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Scroll down for this week\u2019s selection of YouTube videos.
