G. Jung<\/em>, who use\u00a0the shadowy world of <strong>film noir<\/strong> on Friday 6 November to explore Jung\u2019s ideas of fate, destiny and free will. Tonight, the <em>Maine Jung Centre<\/em> hosts its annual <strong>Mildred Harris Lecture<\/strong> on how we might stretch our consciousness beyond the everyday mind. On Saturday 24 October, the <em>Assisi Institute<\/em> continues its <strong>Jungian Child Psychology<\/strong> series, with a look at the archetypes taking shape in children\u2019s inner lives in a digital age. And on Wednesday 28 October, <em>Dream Tending<\/em> offers a free webinar on the transformative potential of <strong>nightmares<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We feature two books.\u00a0<span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/books\/jungian-and-neumannian-perspectives-on-upper-palaeolithic-cave-art-and-figurines-why-do-they-have-no-faces\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Jungian and Neumannian Perspectives on Upper Palaeolithic Cave Art and Figurines<\/em><\/a><\/span> by Baraki and Perel will be published by Routledge next year. Now available is <span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jungian.directory\/fcxfougk\/books\/lost-in-transition-the-beatles-at-their-final-crossroad-a-jungian-perspective-english-edition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Lost in Transition: The Beatles at Their Final Crossroad: A Jungian Perspective<\/em><\/a><\/span> by Faraone and Hague, which reads the Abbey Road crossing as a rite of passage.<\/p>\n<p>Among the conferences happening this year still, the <em>Russian Society of Jungian Analysts<\/em> holds a two-day meeting on 31 October and 1 November, both in person and online, on what happens when<strong> Western psychotherapy<\/strong> meets <strong>Eastern culture<\/strong>. <em>The London Arts-Based Research Centre<\/em> has a call for papers for a conference on chaos as a creative and psychological force, with proposals<strong> due by 1 November<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We also feature two courses.\u00a0<em>The Centre for Applied Jungian Studies<\/em> begins a six-week online course on 1 November, reading the <strong>Book of Job<\/strong> alongside Jung\u2019s Answer to Job. On 5 November, <em>Pacifica Graduate Institute<\/em> starts an online course on the soul and the business of running a <strong>private practice<\/strong> for clinicians.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of this email you will find three YouTube videos selected for your enjoyment.\u00a0 First,\u00a0The <em>Instituto Freedom<\/em> looks back at the <strong>life and legacy<\/strong> of Nise da Silveira and her work in mental health care in Brazil. Next,<em>\u00a0<\/em>Anne Baring takes us through a journey of loss and return of the <strong>Divine Feminine<\/strong>\u00a0.
