Having a discussion about death helps to dismantle a taboo that exists in many cultures all over the world. It is really okay to talk about death, and none of us (yet) are experts! We will share stories, ask questions, discuss how to broach this topic in our own families. Death Cafes have been meeting all over the world to help us encounter our mortality in an honest, everyday way: by just talking about it. It is not a grief support group, and not a group therapy session. There is no presentation, no point of view, no conclusion, just an open-ended exploration. Please bring your vulnerable humanity to this discussion.
