Joining these weekly sessions offers an opportunity to take an in-depth look at the presence of unconscious communication and unconscious experience. In addition, participants have an opportunity to learn of Psyche’s responses to trauma and to see how the trauma finds its way into the actual texture and interactional dynamics occurring between client and therapist.
Starting in September 2021, the 2021/2022 series will see Michael Conforti continuing to present clinical and theoretical material to participants, including discussions on the workings of resistances, and what he has termed “The Migration of Forgotten Contents” and “The Ravages of Denial”.
These weekly sessions are an ongoing investigation into the work of analytically oriented psychotherapy. Many of these sessions will include verbatims of actual cases, and will look at the presence and meaning of derivatives as they refer to the actual therapeutic process, and to the internal workings of archetypal dynamics.
The weekly Wednesday Noon Clinical seminars are open to clinicians only.
