Ego and Archetype Reading Group

Ego and Archetype Reading Group

Ego and Archetype is a classic work, by one of the foremost interpreters of Jung, on one of Jung’s core psychological concepts – the process of individuation. In this book, Edward Edinger elaborates on such topics as the ego-Self axis, the relation of myths and symbols to psychology, and the religious function of the psyche. In this six-session seminar, we will work our way through the book together while relating the subject matter to our own experiences and personal individuation journeys.

This presentation is designed to help participants:

  1. Recognize and describe the features of the concept of individuation.

  2. Understand the concept of the religious function and the psyche and recognize the value of this for individual growth and clinical practice.

  3. Identify the typical stages encountered in the psychotherapy of individuals from a Jungian perspective.
