Analytical psychology takes the emergence of dream material quite seriously, as compensation or complement to the conscious attitude. Everyone dreams, and yet how to take dreams seriously is elusive to modern culture. In this seminar, the group will closely read and discuss selections from Jung’s major writings on dreams, with attention to how his approach can be used with dreams today in clinical work and personal development. We will also discuss some of Jung’s dreams in this context. This seminar will be particularly helpful to clinicians, who are rarely trained in working with dreams in school.
