Jung & Vital Force: A Call to the Collective Extended

New call for papers deadline: 30 September 2025

The International Association for Jungian Studies (IAJS) have announced the extension of its Call for Papers for the online conference, Jung & Vital Force. The new and final deadline for submissions is the end of September. This conference will explore the enduring relevance of Jung’s concept of the vital force, which he described as the flow of life energy that is “never lost but is constantly transformed.”

Topics to be addressed include the intersection of psyche and soma, the role of polarities as a catalyst for growth, and how vital force is expressed in developments in sexual, identity, and gender expressions. The conference will also explore the shadow side of this force, such as burnout and stagnation, as well as its connection to creativity, the emergence of symbols, and cultural renewal in times of crisis. Submissions can also provide psychological, philosophical, and ecological perspectives on energy and transformation.

Presenters and attendees are required to pay the conference registration fee, and all presentations will be in English. To submit your proposal, which must include a title, a 300-word abstract, and a 150-word bio, please use the provided Google Form. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your insights and contribute to a deeper understanding of Jung’s vital work in our modern age.
