If you watched any of the Changing of the Gods episodes, you know that we are living in unprecedented times of archetypal shift. Every day, we see the Russian invasion of Ukraine rewriting the script of world order, taking us deeper into conflict and sowing chaos and confusion. On top of this, the pandemic continues to fill emergency rooms throughout the country, even as governments are yielding to the pressures to ease up on masking. A few days ago, Will and I had the unique opportunity to zoom with Kira Rudik, a courageous young Ukrainian woman who, in addition to being a mother, is a member of the Ukrainian Parliament. We were joined by Dr. John Colarusso, an international relations professor from Canada. Kira Rudik, you may know, is frequently being interviewed by western media journalists, including both CNN and Fox, and she has made quite a name for herself by speaking out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine – even brandishing a Kalashnikov automatic rifle. Her world in Kyiv, Ukraine is filled with danger every day. Our opportunity to have a candid conversation revealed much more than I’d known from the media and demonstrated her courage, intelligence and moral character.
