Amir is 8 years old when he flees Syria with his mother and sister and arrives in Switzerland.

The path to his psychological safety, a heroic journey, turns out to be much longer and harder than that of his physical safety. Through Amir’s narration and drawings, we will reflect on the benefits of analytical psychology in caring for victims of human rights violations and its positive impact on the treatment of trauma. Justice proved to be a decisive therapeutic factor in his treatment: both in terms of a fair legal decision, and in terms of the constellation of archetypes.

The analysis of this case attests to the importance of dialogue between the field of human rights and analytical psychology.
