This course introduces Depth Recovery, a transformative approach to addiction and healing, blending psychological insights from Carl Jung, James Hillman, and the 12-Step model. Recovery is presented as a journey of individuation and soul-making, focusing on its collective, personal, and depth dimensions. Participants will explore recovery through the lenses of the 12-Steps, psychological archetypes, and the concept of spiritual and psychological transformation. The course covers collective recovery, including themes of abstinence, stabilization, and interdependence, contrasting spirit and soul. Personal recovery examines post-recovery experiences, re-visioning one’s calling, and the Puer archetype’s role in healing. Depth Recovery emphasizes restoring the soul and developing a new perception of the world, addressing polytheistic enchantment and the tension between ambivalence and full recovery. By course end, participants will gain a deeper understanding of recovery as a holistic, spiritual journey toward integration and wholeness.
