Welcome to Friday and to this edition of the Jungian.Directory newsletter, bringing you the latest in events, books, courses, conferences, and news from the Jungian world. Thank you for subscribing and we hope you enjoy this week’s issue.
In this week’s events we look forward to the SAP’s Annual Lecture on Saturday, where a panel will dream of what the future may look like for Jungian Analysis. On Sunday JACO hosts a free book club, and during the week Pacifica presents an Author Talk on Clara Oropeza’a new book. Later in the week the Jung Club London presents a fascinating lecture reflecting on Jung’s interest in Wagner’s musical ideas.
We also feature two upcoming books: John Beebe’s classic text Psychiatric Treatment: Crisis, Clinic, and Consultation (recovered by Jungianeum) and Jungian Shakespeare by Joel Crichton.
We also feature two conferences and two courses for which you might consider signing up.
Scroll to the bottom of this newsletter to find our pick of three YouTube videos. In the first Douglas Thomas looks at BDSM from a Jungian perspective. In the second, Brigid Burke compares Eros and Psyche to the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. In the last, Baroness Vera von der Heydt remembers her meeting with Jung in this 1978 interview.
