Jung’s Key Concepts

Jung’s theory of the psyche – of the wholeness created by both our conscious and unconscious mind – extends beyond the personal sphere to a shared store of universal experiences, or archetypes. Join us for this workshop exploring the key concepts that grew out of that theory, over Jung’s long career. Discover the role that archetypes play in the process of individuation – the ongoing process of integrating the conscious and unconscious aspects of the self – and the importance Jung placed in finding and maintaining contact with the unconscious. We’ll look at Jung’s deeper views on religion, spirituality, numinous experiences, and image symbols, each providing a unique connection to the archetypes and the collective unconscious, and will touch on the role of dreams, active imagination, and art, which are important means for accessing and integrating the unconscious.
