This presentation will focus on accessing the psychic energy of psychedelics, particularly MDMA and Psilocybin, without the patient taking the actual material substance.

A transformative psychedelic experience often includes the loss of a sense of a separate ego and the emergence of what has been called unity consciousness. Jungian analytic work brings one into the heart of an intra-subjective, co-created field that challenges the myth of the separate self. This presentation is an exploration of what the author is calling ‘sharing in the field’ – a paradigm that challenges the Newtonian view of the solo self, taking us into a shared energetic field of consciousness or, in the words of Dan Siegel, into an intra-connected (speaking from the whole rather than from the space in between) view of reality.

The speaker will be exploring what expanded states of consciousness and a Jungian informed psychedelic-enhanced psychoanalysis offers to the development of a new energetic paradigm of health and healing. This shift away from a focus on matter toward psychic energy, weaves ancient shamanic and visionary practices into a contemporary paradigm. This new, yet ancient view, points to an underlying reality that is neither mental nor material, to what Jung called the unus mundus (one world) or in more contemporary language the unified field of consciousness.
