Contemporary wars seem characterized by the systematic use of terror through the threat
of global destruction and the indiscriminate attack on civilians. Whereas in past decades,
we used to make a distinction between terrorism and war, today, it increasingly seems that
these two categories have collapsed into one. In this paper, I will examine the thoughts of
Jung and the post-Jungians on the subject of war and terrorism to arrive at a reading that
can be significant in understanding wars in the contemporary world with their
transformations
