Experience the meditative ritual of drinking tea like Japanese monks have practiced for centuries and learn about the various and significant health benefits attributed specifically to green teas.

as part of a personal practice, whether intended to connect us to the sacred dimension or to our deep ancestral roots, a ritual can be helpful in giving us a renewed sense of self, or a moment to pause and reconnect. For centuries, Japanese monks have included drinking green tea as part of their meditation practice. In this class, you will learn how you can include it in the morning to start the day, in the middle of the day to refresh, or later in the evening to help with a sense of calm.

Also, we will explore the potential health benefits of mindfully engaging in drinking green tea as part of everyday life, and learn some of the scientific benefits. Recent human studies suggest that green tea may contribute to a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease and some forms of cancer, as well as to the promotion of oral health and other physiological functions such as anti-hypertensive effect, body weight control, antibacterial and antivirasic activity, solar ultraviolet protection, bone mineral density increase, anti-fibrotic properties, and neuroprotective power.

Learn about the various and significant health benefits of drinking green tea, and experience drinking tea as a moment for meditation– bringing our attention inward, and pausing from the many distractions that surround us.
