The Alchemical Heart – Part I | Mystical Psychology and the Path of the Universal Person

7:00 pm - 7:00 pm(Local Time)

Mystical and monastic traditions over centuries have developed advanced spiritual technologies for alchemizing human potential. Early Christian monastics referred to this as the path of the gnostikē, while later Sufi mystics called it ma’rifa — direct, experiential knowledge of the Divine.

Rooted in a shared understanding of spiritual perception centered in the heart, both traditions developed rich psycho-spiritual frameworks for accessing insight and integrating the shadow. These denser, darker, or even demonic aspects of the body-mind formed an essential part of their cosmologies — not to be rejected, but to be transformed and included on the spiritual journey.

In this Friday evening session, Dr. David Odorisio introduces the spiritual psychology of Christian monasticism and Sufi mysticism, placing them in direct conversation.
