Overview

Master/Two-year Advanced Training Course

This Master’s program aims to offer specialized training related to the theory and clinical practice of dream phenomena within a Jungian and post-Jungian framework, from a point of view in which ‘The essence of the psyche… is revealed in the dream'(Jung, 16, para. 351). This objective will be pursued through the in-depth study of selected texts and the discussion of specifically chosen clinical cases. In particular, the program intends to integrate the clinical perspective with that of research, considering what P. Migone(2021) affirms when he states that in psychodynamic psychotherapy both methods of clinical and empirical research must be used. In this sense, the coordinators, Patrizia Peresso and Alessandra De Coro, will correlate the analytical work on dreams, focused on the psychodiagnostic phase, with the presentation of the most recent studies on the subject in the field of theoretical-clinical and empirical research, as well as in neurobiology and quantum physics, up to the possible applications of artificial intelligence. The different ways of using dreams will also be explored in the specific contexts of different settings: with children and adolescents, with couples and with groups.
