In these days of the Great Unraveling, what triggers you? Is this an awakening of your inner reptile or a glimpse into your unconscious? Are these temper-fraying times a divine call to an evolution of consciousness, both personally and collectively? What is it in each of us that is on the brink of transformation?
No one would disagree with James Hillman’s statement “We’ve had a hundred years of psychotherapy, and the world’s getting worse!” (Well, more than 100 years.) Have we finally reached the point of surrender? What would it take to exit this “skin encapsulated ego” (Alan Watts) and become porous to what is beckoning?
What is getting under our skin might be a call to escape it. Who creates mythologies/worldviews? Do the archetypes have totalitarian power over us or is there a mysterium coniunctionis being offered?
