Jung’s nomination of the complex is perhaps his most useful tool to all of us in beginning the charting of the topography of the inner life. Salvation only comes, he noted, from “the little people,” not from the deluded ego on its throne. This presentation will explore the nature of this most difficult project: the discernment of one’s inner terrain, the delineation of that noisy congregation of splinter selves who always travel with us and have plans of their own for us. This is a life work ahead of us, but we have to gather our resources and begin this archeological and redemptive work.
