Telepathic communication with animals: what they can teach us, seen through a psycho-spiritual Jungian lens

This paper was first presented at the IAAP Congress in Zurich in 2025 entitled “Experiences of the non-understandable: Jungian explorations and contributions”.  The paper is based on Ruth’s book, Animal-Human Telepathic Connections: A Jungian Perspective (Routledge, 2026).

In her book, Ruth presents findings from bespoke research projects exploring how practitioners incorporate animals into therapeutic settings.  She looks at interspecies communication and the soulful connections that enrich clinical practice.

Her pioneering work offers a unique lens on the intersection of Analytical Psychology, environmental ethics and our relationships with animals. It may be of interest to Jungian analysts, clinicians, students and academics, as well as anyone passionate about the climate emergency and the ethics of our relationship with the ‘more-than-human’ world.
