In order to understand its symbolic feeling, we will analyze the Jungian concept of shadow. Against the background of the symbolic image of the caboclo and the plurality of meanings surrounding the itinerary of his presence, the author proposes the recognition and rescue of our caboclos as a necessary instrument for transforming contact with the Other.
