Being a psychology of humanism and eclecticism, Gestalt psychotherapy has had an interesting evolution that has given it unique psychological, philosophical, and methodological bases. The objective of Gestalt is to bring the individual to a state of consciousness – through techniques and methodologies to strengthen one’s sense of self, express the true nature of the individual, and develop self-support – that clears their pending issues. We’ll explore how a holistic understanding of the individual, the ‘here and now’ of phenomenology, and the idea of a continuum of consciousness are used in this unique psychotherapeutic practice, and how these concepts relate Gestalt to the pillars of Buddhism and existentialism.
This program will be offered both in-person and via livestreaming.
