The opening words to A Course in Miracles (ACIM) are a direct reflection of the teaching in the Bhagavad Gita which states, “That which is never ceases to be; that which is not never comes into existence.” What is “real”? What is it that “never comes into existence?” Why are these questions important to us now, more than ever before? A revolution in Christian thought, ACIM consists of three separate writings: the Text, the Workbook, and a Manual for Teachers. Read separately, or together, these teachings explore “the mother of all problems” – the illusion of the separate self or ego.
In this short program, Amy will share some of the fundamentals of ACIM and briefly compare the teachings with the writings of Rupert Spira, an internationally renowned spiritual teacher who draws from the Advaita Vedanta tradition. Some guided meditations will help the students experience the teachings more directly. Discussion and sharing are encouraged.
