Active imagination was the original, personal method adopted by Jung when he set out on his own, personal path. This method of approach to the unconscious has become the inspiration for many art psychotherapy techniques since – art, dance, music, drama, poetry.
In this lecture we shall be examining the history of and theory behind the technique in Jung’s life and time as well as more recent developments by contemporary analysts, many of whom are analysts here at ISAP
