Then I did a research in the Complete Works of CG Jung looking for the words "method" and "psychological method" in the General Indexes, and my findings in this research are presented here in the description of the path that Jung took in the development of his method, which started in Psychiatry, went through Psychoanalysis and ended in Alchemy. The latter was studied by Jung for more than 30 years and classified by him as the perfect metaphor for describing what happened in the encounter between analyst and analysand. Thus, it can be concluded that the analyst's work is similar toopus performed by the alchemist, and the method of Jungian analysis is the alchemical method. Finally, we will present some images of the alchemical process as metaphors for the analytical process.
