I was born and raised in New Zealand. After completing a degree in fine arts I immigrated to USA and began working as a screenwriter. During 25 years of working in the film industry I wrote many projects requiring research into a person’s life. No matter whether fictional or biographical, understanding and creating a story that conveyed character, meaning, and drama drew me. This extended into teaching memoir workshops aimed at writing the inner landscape.
