Jay Upchurch is a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Jungian analyst working in Fort Worth Texas. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Masters degree in Music Composition and Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. As well as working in private practice, he provides therapy as a Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Dependency counselor (COPSD – otherwise know as dual diagnosis) in a substance abuse recovery facility. In addition to Jungian analysis, his primary area of interest includes the exploration of the therapeutic properties inherent in music and acoustic material as seen in traditional cultures as well as derived from current scientific studies.
