The training facility at the C.G. Jung Institute (one of some 20 located all over the world) is a rigorous PhD equivalent program, requiring a minimum of a Master’s degree to apply and is a minimum of four years in length. Trainees, many of whom are MDs, psychiatrists and psychologists, study a wide variety of areas including: psychopathology, religion, interpretation of dreams, mythology, ethnology and picture interpretation. All trainees must undergo at least 300 hours of personal analysis, as well as 200 hours of supervised work with patients. A practicum at a mental health facility is also required.
