She entered the OAJA training programme soon after retiring. While completing the training programme, Patricia lived and worked in South Africa, Asia and the U.S. She recently relocated to Guelph with her husband where she has a private practice. Patricia continues to enjoy cottage life on the Bruce Peninsula and time with her grandchildren. Her thesis is entitled The Brake of Proper Appearances: The Animus in Margaret Laurence's The Stone Angel and A Jest of God.
