C.G. Jung received an excellent classical education, and Plato and Immanuel Kant heavily influenced his thinking. These philosophers maintained that human beings come into the world with a mind embedded with deep structures, templates, imprints, categories, and models. Archetypes are the hidden foundations of the conscious mind, and the roots of these shaping forces connect to complexes that populate and constellate the dynamics of our inner life. This three-part seminar will explore the personal and collective structure that generates the psychic energy we use to lead a self-directed life.
