De Hadewijch, Beatrijs van Nazareth, Angela de Foligno, Mechthild von Magdeburg, o Marguerite Porete, en tonos y estilos muy distintos, tenemos sus testimonios de un amor situado por encima de todo: es la furia del amor, y es el amor el que permite despedir a todas las virtudes y alcanzar el país de la libertad. Escritos en lenguas vulgares, -neerlandés, francés, alto alemán, umbrío, estos textos siguen interpelándonos y reclamando una interpretación.
