Identity at the Crossroads: Peril and Potential
The Association of Analytical Psychology of Moldova invites you to its first international conference, dedicated to exploring the deep dimensions of identity—personal, cultural, and collective.
The Republic of Moldova is a small country in Southeastern Europe, a liminal space and zone of transition, a crossroads between East and West. Here, identity is not fixed once and for all, but is continuously created and re-created. The same applies to personal identity in times of rapid change: it stands at a crossroads, shaped, challenged, wounded, defended— and ultimately transformed. From a Jungian perspective, this process unfolds through encounters with cultural complexes, collective shadows, and the dynamic evolution of psychic structures.
Together, we will reflect on who we are in a shifting world; how collective identity is formed and fractured; what role cultural complexes play in social and political life; how the collective shadow influences these processes; and how we may relate to these dynamics on a personal level. This conference offers a space for dialogue between analysts, psychotherapists, scholars, and all those interested in analytical psychology and symbolic life.
